How the 50/50 works

Buy your tickets

Choose a ticket package on the Home page and pay online (Online payment for raffle ticket purchases). You must be 18+ and physically located in Ontario when you buy. Your ticket numbers are generated automatically and sent to the email address you provide. Keep that email.

The jackpot grows

Every ticket purchased is added to the pot. The jackpot shown on the Home page is the current total and updates as tickets sell. The prize is 50% of the final pot; the other 50% stays with Hôpital de Mattawa Hospital for priority medical equipment for Hôpital de Mattawa Hospital. Because the prize depends on sales, it is never a fixed amount.

Sales close

Ticket sales for the current draw close on the published closing date. Purchases after that time are not entered into the draw.

The draw

The draw takes place on the draw date at the draw time, at the hospital. One winning ticket number is selected at random from all eligible tickets sold, using a random number generator approved under the raffle licence, in the presence of hospital representatives.

The winner is notified

The winning ticket number is posted on the Winners page. The ticket holder is contacted by email and phone using the details provided at purchase. Winners have the time set out in the Rules of Play to claim their prize and must show valid government-issued ID.
