Rules of Play
The complete rules for the Mattawa Hospital 50/50, conducted by Hôpital de Mattawa Hospital under Raffle licence RAF1383227 issued by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).

1. Licence and organizer
1.1 The raffle is conducted by Hôpital de Mattawa Hospital (the "Licensee"), 217 Turcotte Park Road, P.O. Box 70, Mattawa, Ontario P0H 1V0, Canada.
1.2 The raffle is licensed by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), Raffle licence number RAF1383227, and is conducted in accordance with the AGCO's Lottery Licence Terms and Conditions and the Raffle Licence Terms and Conditions.
1.3 Net proceeds are used for priority medical equipment for Hôpital de Mattawa Hospital.
2. Eligibility and participant requirements
2.1 Tickets may be purchased only by individuals who are 18 years of age or older at the time of purchase.
2.2 Tickets may be purchased only by individuals who are physically located within the Province of Ontario at the time of purchase. The purchaser's location may be verified; purchases made from outside Ontario are void.
2.3 Tickets must be purchased in the purchaser's own name. Tickets cannot be purchased on behalf of a group, business or organization, and cannot be purchased as a gift for a third party.
2.4 Purchasers must provide a valid name, email address, phone number and Ontario address. The Licensee is not responsible for tickets that cannot be delivered or winners who cannot be contacted because of incorrect information.
3. Restrictions on participation
3.1 The following persons are not eligible to purchase tickets or win a prize: members of the Licensee's board of directors; the raffle's designated members-in-charge; employees or contractors directly involved in conducting the raffle; employees of the electronic raffle system supplier; and persons living in the same household as any of the above.
3.2 Persons who have self-excluded from gaming in Ontario are not eligible to participate.
3.3 The Licensee reserves the right to refuse a purchase, cancel tickets or withhold a prize where these Rules have been breached.
4. Ticket prices and packages
4.1 Tickets are sold online only, at mattawahealth5050.com. Payment: Online payment for raffle ticket purchases.
4.2 Available ticket packages for the current draw:
4.3 Each ticket is assigned a unique number generated by the electronic raffle system. Ticket numbers are delivered by email to the address provided at purchase. Purchasers should keep this email as proof of purchase.
4.4 All sales are final. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
5. Ticket sales period
5.1 Ticket sales for the current draw open on the published opening date and close on the published closing date.
5.2 Purchases not completed and confirmed by the closing time are not entered into the draw.
6. The prize
6.1 There is one prize per draw: 50% of the total gross ticket sales for that draw. The remaining 50% is retained by the Licensee for the purposes in section 1.3.
6.2 Because the prize is a share of sales, its final amount is not fixed and is only determined when sales close. The jackpot displayed on the website is the current running total and is provided for information only.
6.3 The prize is paid in Canadian dollars by cheque or electronic transfer to the verified winner.
7. Draw date, time and method
7.1 The draw will be held on the draw date at the draw time at the Licensee's premises.
7.2 The winning ticket number is selected at random from all eligible tickets sold, using an AGCO-approved random number generator, in the presence of the members-in-charge.
7.3 The Licensee may reschedule the draw where required, and will post any change on this website in advance.
8. Determining and notifying the winner
8.1 The holder of the ticket whose number matches the drawn number is the winner. Only one winning ticket is drawn.
8.2 The winning ticket number will be posted on the Winners page of this website on the draw date.
8.3 The Licensee will attempt to contact the winner by email and by phone using the contact information provided at purchase.
9. Claiming the prize
9.1 To claim the prize, the winner must contact the Licensee at info@mattawahealth5050.com within six (6) months of the draw date, and present the winning ticket confirmation together with valid government-issued photo identification showing age and Ontario address.
9.2 The prize will be released only after the Licensee has verified the winner's identity and eligibility under these Rules.
9.3 Unclaimed prizes are handled in accordance with AGCO requirements.
9.4 By accepting the prize, the winner agrees that the Licensee may publish their name, city or town, winning ticket number and prize amount for the purposes of announcing the results of the draw.
10. General
10.1 By purchasing a ticket, the purchaser agrees to be bound by these Rules and by the AGCO Terms and Conditions.
10.2 In the event of any discrepancy between these Rules and the terms of the AGCO licence, the licence terms prevail.
10.3 Purchasing a ticket does not guarantee a prize. Odds of winning depend on the total number of tickets sold.
